Hair Removal Side Effects

Carefully understand the possible or likely side effects of the hair removal option(s) you are considering. If the practitioner says that the method is "virtually pain free" what exactly does that mean?

You must understand all hair removal side effects that you could face if you choose any of the options you are currently considering.

Having said that, some people tolerate pain better than others.

It either hurts or it doesn't!

Depending on the hair removal method you are considering and your specific situation – your skin type, skin tone, hair type, hair color, etc – the side effects you might experience could differ from others who have already had the treatment.

Also, your medical conditions, your smoking history, whether or not you experience scarring and other factors can also impact the side effects you might experience.

Before beginning any hair removal treatment, ensure you do your research and ask your practitioner to describe all potential side effects.

As mentioned above, the skill of the practitioner performing the treatment can also impact the side effects you experience if we don't know what they are doing.

Hair Removal Skill

Hair removal skill refers to the skill involved in the actual hair removal process you are considering.

Three of the biggest determinants of hair removal success can be the skill of the practitioner who's providing the service to you ie. the person operating the laser, the person doing the waxing, etc.

Select a hair removal provider that you trust, that is professional plus if possible, who provides you with patient references who you can contact to discuss their experience with the clinic.

Obviously if you are doing your own hair removal - if you are doing waxing or shaving for example - you require to be careful plus ensure you feel comfortable that you have the skill to do it yourself.

Consult with friends or other people who you trust who have had nice hair removal experiences.

Hair Removal Standards

In the local area where you are considering hair removal treatment, are there industry or government standards in place for the treatment you are considering?

Hair removal standards refers to regulations or best practices that might be in place that govern how your selected hair removal service is delivered.

Does the hair removal option you are considering require a practitioner to take specific training?

You might find for example that the particular hair removal method you are considering requires a practitioner to be licensed or certified.

Obviously, with a method such as Electrolysis, laser or intense pulsed light hair removal, you require to ensure your practitioner is qualified and skilled.
